NitreBlue:  This is a process of blueing that will color virtually all carbon steel.  Unlike conventional hot salt blueing, NitreBlue can produce a wide variety of colors from a yellowish color or “Straw” to a deep grayish blue called "Charcoal".  The most common appearance of is to achieve a “FireBlue" which is a bright blue color with a mild tint of purple. It can be used to closely match the blue on Colt and Smith & Wesson revolvers of the 1850’s through the 1930’s. Please note that different types of steel may have different shades of color even from the same firearm.
